Who we are
AlphaFilings ("we", "us") runs alphafilings.co, which reports and ranks information from public SEC filings. By creating an account, starting a trial or using the site, you agree to these Terms.
Not investment advice
AlphaFilings reports what public filings show and ranks them with our own scoring. Nothing on the site, in our emails or through our API is investment, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Filings can be late, amended or wrong, and our processing can contain errors. You are responsible for your own decisions.
Your account
Accounts are for one person. Don't share your sign-in, your subscription or your API key. We limit how many devices can be signed in at once and may sign out older sessions.
Acceptable use
You may use AlphaFilings for your own research and trading. You may not:
- access the site with bots, scrapers, crawlers, headless browsers or other automated tools, except through the Desk API within its published limits;
- copy, download in bulk, resell, republish or redistribute our rankings, scores, signals or other content, or use them to build a competing product;
- get around paywalls, rate limits, device limits or other access controls;
- copy, frame or imitate the site's design, text, graphics, code or branding;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract our source code, scoring methods or systems.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we may limit usage that looks automated.
Our content and intellectual property
The underlying SEC filings are public. The site's design, text, graphics, logos, code, scores, rankings and the way we select, organize and present the data belong to AlphaFilings and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. "AlphaFilings" and its logo are our trademarks. These Terms don't give you any right to use them beyond normal use of the service.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans, trials, renewals, cancellation and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
API
Desk API use is also subject to the data terms and limits on the API page.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of accuracy, completeness or availability. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including trading losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
